Sakura Diaries is a gorgeously drawn, adult-oriented anime. The production values are high and the story is simple and sweet. Think of it as "Maison Ikkoku Lite" with a bit more sex thrown into the mix.
But even though Sakura Diaries is adult entertainment, there very little actual sex. There is quite a bit of sexual teasing (provocative images, clothing, innuendo, fantasies, and the like) but there is no sex beyond some heavy breathing, and the occasional skin-to-skin/hands-on-body-parts contact.
Volume 1: "Collector's Edition" Plot Summary:
Touma is a wannabe college student from the Japanese countryside. He comes to Tokyo to take the college entrance exams but runs into a number of distractions (in the form of beautiful girls) that keep him from passing.
Not before long, Touma finds himself in a very sticky situation involving himself, his lovelorn cousin, Urara and a sexy coed, Meiko. As the story develops, all three characters find themselves caught in difficult positions due to lies they told early on. How they resolves those problems is the best parts of Sakura Diaries.
