1: The Emergence
2: The Tempest

A bizarre and very misogynistic story, Fencer of Minerva has nothing to recommend it. It earns this reputation due to it's lack of any action, atrocious dubbing, weak script and the constant degrading of women. The animation is below average and the designs are weak.

All-in-all, this is one to avoid.

Volume 1: "The Emergence" Plot Summary:

At the opening of Fencer of Minerva, two young kids, Diana and Sho, the crown prince, play in the castle's orchard. Sho climbs into a tree to get fruit for both of them. Suddenly, armed guards coming running up and attempt to seize the young prince.

Sho is cut across the face by one of the guard's sword but still manages to escape. Diana is brought back to the castle where her father has just become the King by overthrowing the previous King.

The story then fast forwards 10 years or thereabouts. Diana is now a grown woman, and princess and she has been promised to a neighboring Prince as part of a power deal. Unwilling to accept that fate, Diana sneaks out of the castle and flees into the town.

There, she is horrified at the brazen sale and slavery of women. She frees one girl from the auction block and dashes off with the girl into the hinterlands. Unfortunately, they fall prey to nomads and are forced into slavery. It is there that Sho, now a grown man who wears a half-mask, encounters the enslaved Diana.

After defeating the chief of the nomads, Sho is awarded Diana, now calling herself Dee, as his slave. The rest of Fencer of Minerva deals with the relationship of Sho to Dee, Sho's quest to regain his kingdom, and general lechery.
