Review:

Go Takarada, an Indiana Jones wanna-be, has his hands full, literally, when he captures Rane, an elf princess, while plummeting from the top of a skyscaper. Soon, Go is off treasure hunting with renewed vigor, believing that "elfie" is the little priest referenced in an ancient text.

Rane, on the other hand, believes that Go is the giant servant that she was told would meet her in this strange land. But, sadly, they have a bit of a communication problem.

A wonderful blend of hyperactive animation and great character design, Elf Princess Rane is silly, fun and loaded with satirical jabs at anime stereotypes and conventions.

Volume 1: "Volume 1" Plot Summary:

Go Takarada, an Indiana Jones wanna-be, has his hands full, literally, when, during the opening moments, he captures Rane, an elf princess, while plummeting from the top of a skyscaper. Soon, Go is off treasure hunting with renewed vigor, believing that "elfie" is the little priest referenced in an ancient text. Rane, on the other hand, believes that Go is the giant servant that she was told would meet her in this strange land. But, sadly, they have a bit of a communication problem.

The wackiness grows with the appearance of Leen, Rane's mortal enemy, who ends up partnering with Mari, Go's long suffering girlfriend. Add in the supporting cast of eccentrics and characters and you have one of the funniest and most unpredictable series ever screened.

Hyperactive animation and great character design. The story is silly and fun and load with satirical jabs at anime stereotypes and conventions.
