In the Toyko of the future, mankind has created "boomers" (sometimes called "voomers"), a form of robot that handle a wide range of tasks. But when a boomer goes bad, it becomes an unstoppable machine of destruction. The city has a special unit, the AD Police, that exists to handle these "rouge boomers" but there are machines that they even can't stop.
