Another foray into the Outlaw Star universe, Angel Links is a wonderfully mysterious sci-fi/action series. The characters, a mix of new and old faces from Outlaw Star, are well defined and drawn. The action is strong, and the story unwinds at near perfect pace, leading the viewer on with tantalizing crumbs. The animation is excellent, as to be expected from Sunrise, and all the other elements (design, coloring, music, etc.) are equally strong.

Volume 1: "Avenging Angel" Plot Summary:

Meifon is a somewhat improbably girl. She is reportedly 16 but owns and operates the largest private security firm in the universe. She is an extremely well endowed young woman yet she fights and kicks like the best male fighters. She is definitely a mysterious creature.

Angel Links spends most of its time trying to get to the bottom of this mystery. When the story is not doling out clues to Meifon's past, the characters are principally involved in fighting bad guys who want to steal the cargo that the Angel Links Corporation has been hired to protect.
